HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
I’m not a certified nutritionist, personal trainer, doctor or health guru. I’m a citizen scientist (I try things out for myself), I do my research, and I ask questions. I used be a certified fitness coach and I am an educator by training. I’m now a low-carb, high-fat, Hot Pilates, Orange Theory Fitness, Hula-hooping kind of gal, but I wasn’t always this way. Like many women, there have been times I hated working out and cookies were the base of my food pyramid. There are of course, consequences to that pattern.
My healthy lifestyle blogs share the ups and downs, the tried and true, and hopefully provide food for thought. I’ll connect you with other wonderful women (and men) that have great insight, ideas or stories to share. Mostly I hope to inspire you to be healthy.
What works for me may not work for someone else, our bodies are all a bit different and have slightly different needs. What I do firmly believe is that there is some combination of diet and exercise (I prefer to call it a lifestyle) that will work for everyone. You have to try things, and you have to commit. There is a direct correlation between commitment and success (in most things we do).
I’ve found my lifestyle; for me it’s daily exercise, it makes me feel good physically and mentally, and eating a low-carb high-fat diet means I’m not hungry and I eat delicious foods. Do your research, and find a lifestyle that you can commit to, one that works for you.
