AROUND THE WORLD
A few years ago, my teenage daughter, Kate, asked me why our family travels so much? I explained that our passion is travel; we invest in the experiences gained by exploring the world. Kate has been to 32 different countries and while she doesn’t remember all of them (like learning to walk in Sweden), she will never forget others (like being in a blind 20 feet from elephants).
This is about the countries I’ve visited, but more important, the people, the culture, the food, the things I’ve learned…the experiences! I have done everything from low-budget backpacking trips to high-end resort travel, and everything in between. Generally, there is a travel option that will fit every budget, you might just have to do a little research. When I travel, wherever I go, I try to be considerate to our planet and the people and animals living here. Kindness should be practiced at home and on the other side of the world.
